On May 7, Katy's first movie, The Dump, (4-min., b&w 16mm), screened with live organ accompaniment by Cameron Carpenter. The short comedy opened for Buster Keaton's The General (1926).Carpenter, a young, virtuoso organist who's made waves in the classical music world, played alongside four features and four shorts in May. He's a film lover and does this sort of thing regularly, so visit his website if you're interested!
In 2007 Katy made a short doc, A Day in the Life of a Virtuoso, about Cameron. This summer she's returning to the cutting room to expand it. More updates on that to come.
