So, one of the things I'm doing in this PERSONAL ALL TIME RECORD FOR BUSYNESS-SETTING period of my life is production designing a movie called Fish.

The film is the work of TJ Parsell, who was incarcerated at the age of 17 and has devoted a significant portion of his adult life to activism against prison violence.

We get to shoot in the actual prison, which is awesome. Also awesome is that the Michigan Film Office and Michigan Department of Corrections have been SUPER-HELPFUL. I just sent an e-mail on which no less than EIGHT employees of Michigan state were CC'd, thanking them for helping us get prison trays and letting them know what kind of trays we wanted.

It was a little bit terrifying.
I hope I CC'd the right people.
